If you could write a book about yourself and it was made into a movie, what would it look like?
It would be about all the dramatic moments and events in your life as the main character. Your ups and downs, your loves and losses, your struggles and victories. You would tell the "story of me"...but its just a story and it is the story of the past. It no longer exists and you can't go back there except as a memory in your mind... like replaying an old movie. The future also doesn't exist except in your mind. It is imaginary and you never arrive there because you are always in the "now".
Your ego identity can be changed in an instant including your name, gender, occupation, appearance, relationships, income, religion and beliefs - then who is the real you? Even your age is constantly changing from birth to death.
Through meditation, you can enter the formless and timeless vertical dimension beyond the "fiction of me" and connect with the authentic "spiritual" you.
Eckhart Tolle takes you to a deeper place than you have ever been before if you have the patience to listen.
